THONGLOR police have arrested four of out nine rescue volunteers wanted over a turf battle on Kasemrad road in front of Lotus hypermarket Rama 4 branch on Monday night with one other suspect having contacted them to surrender, Matichon newspaper said this evening (Apr. 19).
Rounded up under arrest warrants issued by Bangkok South Criminal Court were Mr. Theerachai Buaphansa-noi, 41, Mr. Pricha Chansang, 27, Mr. Weerasak Wongsri, 20, and Mr. Kunakorn Kwanthong, 25. All are being interrogated about the turf battle between Siam Ruamjai and Por Tek Tung rescue foundations where one worker of the former foundation was shot dead and three others injured.
Another wanted rescue volunteer, Mr. Jirawat Banjerdwattanakul, or Bier, 48, had contacted police to surrender but they did not say when he would show up.
Police are chasing four other wanted rescuers on the run, namely Mr. Krisada Noisirisuk, 42, Mr. Pattanan Chatthai, 39, Mr. Chakkrit Duangratmalee, 32, and Mr. Rittiruthon Moonthongchun, 29.
