787 Covid cases emerge in Samut Sakhon 

THE Covid Centre of Samut Sakhon province this morning (Feb. 2) stated that 787 cases of this feared infection emerged up to midnight yesterday taking the provincial total to 12,130, Thai Rath newspaper said.

Altogether 688 cases were found through proactive search in this province, from where the ongoing outbreak sprang, with 59 being Thais and 629 migrant workers.

Hospital examination found 99 more patients with 22 being Thais and 77 migrant workers.

Still hospitalized are 502 Thais and 393 migrant workers while symptoms of 5,708 others are being observed.

A total 1,243 of Thais and 386 foreigners have been cured and allowed to return home, while 3,893 people who had completed their quarantine were found to be not infected, with 182 being Thais and 3,711 foreigners.

There was one additional death taking the provincial total to five.
