On December 29 she underwent a dialysis at a hospital in Samut Sakhon during which she picked up the coronavirus infected and was moved to Bangkok.

She was then treated for pneumonia and asthma but later also started bleeding through the breathing tube, digestive tract and stomach. Fungi was then found in her bloodstream and she died on February 8 after suffering from multiple sudden cardiac arrest.

Of today’s 157 cases, 144 emerged within the country with 38 cases appearing through surveillance and service systems and 106 through proactive search in communities.

Meanwhile eight of 13 overseas travellers who arrived over the past 24 hours entered state quarantine but five from Indonesia did not.
