THE lawyer for the mother of actress Pataratida Patcharawirapong, or Tangmo Nida, who drowned in Chao Phraya river during a speedboat trip in Feb., said this evening (Apr. 1) that there will be good news about this case from seven to 15 days with some or all her five friends to be prosecuted, Amarin TV said.
Speaking after handing over the result of the second autopsy on the late actress to Mueang Nonthaburi police station, Mr. Decha Kittiwittayanan, who is Mrs. Panida Siriyuthyothin’s lawyer, said the public will soon be getting good news about this case as it had been expecting to do so.
Aside from some or all of Tangmo Nida’s five friends who were on the speedboat with her that night being prosecuted, an adviser too will be facing charges. These charges include negligence leading to death, destroying evidence and giving false information.
The five friends who were with Tangmo Nida when she drowned in Chao Phraya river on Feb. 24 are Ms. Idsarin Juthasuksawat, or Gatick, her manager; Ms. Wisapat Manomairat, or Sand; Mr. Nithat Keeratisuthisathorn, or Job; Mr. Paiboon Srikanchananan, or Robert or Bird, the amateur skipper; and Mr. Tanupat Lerttaweewit, or Hi So Por, the speedboat owner.
Decha added that he had seen all the evidence with none of it being fake and the only step remaining was for police to hold a meeting and put the various pieces together as all had now reached their hands.
He reminded Idsarin that her daughter’s name was tattooed on Tangmo Nida’s left hand and urged her to reveal all that she had possibly not done so upto now.
Decha also said that the results of the two autopsies were similar but the first one was more accurate and would be used as the primary evidence and the second one supportively so.
Regarding the 22 wounds on her body, the police forensic pathologist would have to again check with the Justice Ministry’s forensic pathologist.
He also mentioned that no DNA of another person was found in her nails.
