BANGKOK bus number 13 running from Huay Kwang to Khlong Toei lost control and rammed into an electricity pole at Pracha Songkhro intersection, Asok Din Daeng road, at 1 p.m. today (June 24) with one injured victim trapped beneath the vehicle, TV Channel 7 said.
The bus also hit three to four motorcycles and a pickup truck.
It was initially reported and six injured victims, five men and one woman, were helped by people in the area and bus staff who quickly sent them to nearby hospitals. Fortunately there were no fatalities.
The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) said the crash had led to a power outage in the Asok Din Daeng area. Their repair team is now working on resuming power supply to further zones with power to flow again to all points in five hours’ time, FM91 Trafficpro tweeted.
Road users were told to avoid this area.
