Minister cites medical opinion on Thaksin remaining at hospital

JUSTICE MINISTER Thawee Sodsong today (Sep. 21) said he agreed with the medical team that de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra should continue staying at Police Hospital as he has just undergone a surgery, TV Channel said.

However Thawee, a Prachachat Party MP, refused to comment on Thaksin still remaining at this hospital even though a month is up tomorrow from when he returned to Thailand on Aug. 22. That same night he was rushed from a nursing unit at Bangkok Remand Prison to this hospital after suffering from insomnia, chest tightness, high blood pressure and low oxygen level at his finger tip.

Nonetheless Thawee did mention that the Corrections Department gave him an explanation on Thaksin’s condition yesterday and that he is going along with the opinion of the medical team that he has to continue staying at the hospital.
