Daily Covid count still high at 802

THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA’s) spokeswoman Apisamai Srisangson today (Jan. 29) announced that there were 802 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours but no additional deaths with this keeping the toll at 76, Sanook.com reported.

The new addition raises the total cumulative confirmed cases to 17,023, of which 11,396 have recovered while 4,858 are still hospitalized.

Breakdown of today’s total Covid cases is as follows:

– Altogether 89 new patients emerged from surveillance and service systems;

– A total of 692 patients found through proactive searches in communities;

– There were 19 overseas travellers who entered state quarantine;

– Two overseas travellers slipped in without quarantine, one from Myanmar and the other from Malaysia.
