KHAO KHO was bustling today (Jan. 20) as tens of thousands of people flocked in to attend Rock Mountain concert with resorts and hotels almost completely full amid an anticipated 75 million baht cash flow, Matichon newspaper said this evening.
The concert, by Chang Music Connection at Jolly Land, led to long traffic jams with concertgoers continuously arriving after the gates opened at 1 p.m. By 3 p.m. the Gfest public relations team said on Facebook that all parking zones were now full.
Acting Sub Lt.Chatchawan Rakhan, adviser to Khao Kho Tourism Business Association, said over 80% of estimated 30,000 visitors this weekend had come to attend the concert with 90% of the rooms at resorts and hotels occupied.
This is the third year Rock Mountain concert is being held and playing at the event are some well-known bands including Bodyslam, Cocktail, Joey Phuwasit, Lomosonic, Modern Dog, Num Kala, Pototo, Slot Machine, Taitosmith and Three Man Down.
The spectacular stage in the middle of the event ground has been designed like a giant spaceship.
