Again! Yellow Line’s wheel falls on taxi below

JUST a few days after a 3km stretch of  MRT Pink Line’s conductor rail fell on the road, this evening (Jan. 2) a wheel of the MRT Yellow Line fell on the bonnet of a taxi on the road below, Naewna newspaper said.

Mr. Sorrayut Suthatsanajinda, a newsman, posted a report about this accident at 6.30 p.m. saying a Ruamkatanyu Foundation ambulance had arrived at the spot where the wheel fell on the taxi below at kilometre 3 of Theparak road near Si Thepha station.

Initially no one had got injured in this incident with only the taxi’s bonnet being damaged.

At that point no train officials had come to inspect the accident or provide any information.

People living in the area said they heard the train running normally with a few cars easily going down the road because there was no traffic jam.

However after a while they heard something falling and upon having a look saw that it was the train’s wheel that had come off and fallen on the cab’s bonnet as it drove past.
