Missing German businessman’s sedan found abandoned at a condo

PROGRESS has been made over the disappearance of a German businessman in Chonburi since last Tuesday (July 4) with his family having offered 3 million baht to anyone who finds him and 100,000 baht for the recovery of his Mercedes Benz sedan with the latter spotted a condo in this same province today (July 9), Sanook.com said.

Mr. Hans-Peter Mack, 62, mysteriously disappeared after driving from his house at a housing estate in Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, at 12.41 p.m. on July 4 to go meet a foreign broker at Jomtien beach.

Ms. Piraya, or Party, 24, Mack’s Thai wife who has lived with him for five years, said her husband was a real estate businessman who was going to meet a foreign broker about the purchase of a land plot on Koh Samui worth hundreds of millions baht but since then disappeared without a trace.

She added her husband had two sons with one being in Thailand and the other travelling in Spain and the whole family was very worried about his disappearance as it is unusual for him to leave for an extended period in this manner.

They were concerned that he might have been harmed and that is why they offered 3 million baht to anyone finding him and 100,000 baht his sedan.

Although his sedan has been found abandoned at a condo in the same province there is a mysterious stain on the windshield.

A Nong Prue police team led by Pol. Col. Tawee Kudlaeng has been investigating his disappearance with team members having gone through surveillance camera clips of routes he might have used after leaving his house.

They have also questioned the foreign agent he talked to but as yet the cause of disappearance is inconclusive.

Those who have clues about his whereabouts are urged to contact Nong Prue police station.
