Pol. Capt. Saiyont Thongta, duty officer at Bang Bua Thong police station, rushed to the school to investigate together with Poh Teck Tung Foundation volunteers.

The deceased teenage boy sat at the second innermost table then suddenly there was a loud explosion. She ran there and found the boy lying motionless on the ground with his face full of blood and some splattered on the floor.

She told the students to leave the classroom and alert other teachers to call the police and rescuers to come in and help.

She added that these 10 computers were branded new and only put to use on Monday.

The deceased student’s friend who sat at the table next to his said just 10 minutes after he switched on the computer the keyboard exploded with there not being a smell of anything burning or fire emitting from the desktop set.

He added that his ears started hurting because the sound of the explosion was so loud while the student sitting on the left side was hit on the face with shrapnel but not seriously injured.
