DOING well amid the coronavirus pandemic is a gold shop in Chanthaburi province which has introduced gold face mask chains as a new type of ornament for the well-off, Ejan news site and Sanook.com reported today (Jan. 11, 2021).
Ms. Patchanuch Anusas-amornkul, the owner of Mae Kimti diamond and gold shop in Mueang district of this province said she had first made one such chain and wore it at work.
This attracted the attention of many customers so she produced some designs for sale. After that she shared the photos of these gold face mask chains on Thai social media and they have now gone viral.
These chains weigh from half a baht to 10 baht but the most popular are one baht ones of which there are several designs.
However she said she does caution the buyers to only wear these chains at important functions and not while out and about in public places as they would attract the attention of criminals.
