AFTER having to lockdown for a lengthy period to control the spread of the coronavirus infection the tourism-dependent seaside city of Hua Hin today (18.5.2020) again reopened with its hotels, resorts and restaurants ready to welcome guests, Sanook.com reported.

The resort city sprang back to life soon after the daily briefing on the status of the Covid-19 pandemic nationwide by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) which said that there were three more patients today with two being in Bangkok and both working at the same place, and one Phuket, but no deaths, PostToday reported.

This takes the total number of patients in Thailand to 3,031 with the three new ones all having earlier had contact with confirmed cases.

Prachuab Khiri Khan governor announced that he was ending the lockdown and allowing all types of hotels and accommodations that have a licence in his province to again resume normal operation and welcome tourists from today onward, until any further notice of change.

Hotels and other types of accommodations that are reopening have to strictly follow the measures to control the spread of coronavirus for the safety of all parties.
