A LARGE number of both Thai and foreign supporters of Move Forward leader/prime minister-designate Pita Limjaroenrat showed up at Ratthaprasasanabhakdi Building Commemorating the 80th Birth Anniversary of late King Rama IX the Great, Government Complex, Chaengwattana Road, to greet him when he arrived for a meeting with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTA) this morning (July 11), Matichon newspaper said.
The party had informed the media that a press briefing would take place at the eastern entrance which leads to the office of the Election Commission located in the same building, with the meeting to take place from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
When Pita arrived at 10.20 a.m. a big crowd of fans, workers, officials and the general public both Thais and foreigners were there to welcome him and encourage him in his quest to become Thailand’s 30th prime minister.
A joint House/Senate session is scheduled to be held on Thursday July 13 to vote for the Move Forward leader as prime minister.
Some of them shouted out, “He is very handsome, prime minister is very handsome” among other words of encouragement.
Others had quickly surrounded him and escorted him to the elevator taking him to the GISTA office.
