Their Majesties test positive for Covid-19

THEIR Majesties the King and Queen have been infected with Covid-19 but overall their symptoms are not severe and they have been requested to refrain from royal duties for a while, Thai Rath newspaper and Bernama news agency said this afternoon (Dec. 17).

The Royal Household Bureau published a statement saying that at 11.30 p.m. last night His Majesty the King’s medical team presented coronavirus screening tests showing that His Majesty and Her Majesty had both got infected but with very few symptoms. The tests are carried out regularly.

On Friday, Their Majesties the King and Queen visited Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital where she is undergoing  treatment after having lost consciousness due to a heart condition on Wednesday.
