Bruised young man hit with big palimony claim by married lover

A YOUNG MAN who is still studying and tried to break up with an older married woman with whom he had an affair was hit with a 400,000 baht palimony claim, Matichon said this evening (Nov. 3).

Mr. A (pseudonym), 24, went to Bangkok Noi police station today to clarify that he did not rape the 46-year-old woman with whom he got involved last year.

When he tried to break up with her she had harassed him and also got other people to do so, he added.

He revealed that last year while continuing his studies he had got an internship to work at a train station. While there he saw this older woman who came to catch a train there everyday.

One day he asked her for her Line and Facebook ID but she told him that she was already married. He kept quiet for three to four days after which she got in touch with him and started telling him about her problems.

On August 31, 2021 she accompanied him to get his Covid-19 jab and after that asked to go to his home. He questioned whether she consented and she said yes.

Their affair started on that day and after that he told his parents about her. They said she should clear things up with her husband but whenever he asked her whether she had broken up with him it always led to a big quarrel.

In the end he wanted to break up with her at which point she hit him with a 400,000 baht palimony claim while also accusing him of having raped her.

He added that he had already spent hundreds of thousands of baht on her during their relationship
