Two brothers arrested on drug charges in Bangkok

 

TWO brothers were arrested on drug charges in Bangkok’s Nong Chok district after 3.3 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) and 1.5 million methamphetamine pills were seized from their mother’s house, TV Channel 7 said today (Feb. 18).

Pol. Lt. Gen. Samran Nuanma, head of Metropolitan Police Bureau, together with other senior police officers told the press that the two brothers, Mr. Ekarthit, or Bas, Dangsuk, 21, and Mr. Eakmongkol, or Bank, Kuesanoh, 27, were arrested after the former was caught red-handed with 4,000 meth pills and 88.8 grammes of Ice in his possession at a road running along a canal in Krathum Rai sub-district, Nong Chok district, at 7.30 p.m. yesterday.

He told police his brother had asked him to deliver the drugs to a customer and then took police to his house in an unnamed alley nearby.

After that the two brothers took police to their mother’s house in the same area where the large stash of drugs was hidden.

They confessed that they had been trafficking drugs since last year after having been supplied by Mr. Keng (assumed name), who lives in Suwinthawong area, for distribution in their neighbourhood.

Police have seized Eakmongkol’s two houses on almost one rai of land, two luxury vehicles and bank deposits with hundreds of thousands of baht revolving funds.
