Pattaya music festival revellers told to quickly get tested for Covid

 

CHONBURI PROVINCIAL Public Health Office issued an urgent announcement on its Facebook page today (Nov.25) calling on people who attended the Pattaya Music Festival on Nov. 12-13 but were grouped together outside the event area to quickly undergo an antigen test for Covid-19 infection, Sanook.com said.

The health office said many people outside the event zone had got infected and those who gathered close together and removed their face masks to drink alcohol are at the greatest risk of doing so.

This music festival takes place over four weeks with the stage set up in different areas including in north, central and south Pattaya, Nual Beach at Koh Larn, Lan Pho Nakluea Park and in the final week, December 10-11, ending with the stage being moved to Central Pattaya Beach.

This morning the Public Health Ministry said there were 6,335 Covid cases and 37 deaths over the past 24 hours taking the cumulative confirmed total since April 1 to 2,059,464 and from the onset of the pandemic 2,088,327.

Today’s 37 fatalities raised the death toll to 20,581.

An additional 7,218 patients were cured taking total recoveries since April 1 to 1,959,663 while 80,657 are still undergoing treatment.
