Three Bangkok districts Covid-free amid 8,148 cases nationwide

 

OF the nationwide tally of 8,148 coronavirus cases and 80 deaths today (Nov. 5) 613 were in Bangkok but three of the metropolis’ districts did not report any infection, Siam Rath newspaper said.

The three Covid-free districts are Bang Rak, Pom Prap Sattru Phai and Samphanthawong.

The top 10 districts with the most infections are as follows:

1) Huai Khwang, 54 cases;

2) Bang Phlat, 43 cases;

3) Prawet, 41 cases;

4) Suan Luang, 38 cases;

5) Rat Burana, 28 cases;

6) Khan Na Yao, 24 cases;

7) Saimai, 21;

8) Bueng Kum, 20 cases;

9) Bangkok Noi, 19 cases;

10) Bangbon, 19 cases.

From today’s total of 8,148 new cases 7,543 were the general public while 605 fell sick in prisons and detention centres.

This took  the cumulative confirmed total from April 1 to 1,922,709.

Another 8,238 patients were cured with this taking total recoveries since April to 1,807,304 while 97,480 patients are still undergoing treatment.

Today’s 80 fatalities raised the death toll from April to 19,448.
