Chaos at Govt House after official catches Covid

OFFICIALS at Government House panicked today (May 27) after finding out that a card exchange staff member has contracted coronavirus and was working last Tuesday when a Cabinet meeting was held, Sanook.com said.

Reporters at Government House said Covid control measures were relaxed here recently allowing those among them who had been vaccinated to again go in and cover the daily news.

While most officials and civil servants are still working from home, a lot of them do come to work on Tuesdays when Cabinet meetings are held.  It was last Tuesday May 25  that the infected woman was performing her duty to  exchange cards to all those who wanted to gain entrance to Banchakarn 1 building.

She was tested for coronavirus infection yesterday May 26 and upon getting a positive result was immediately admitted to hospital for treatment.

Later a team of workers wearing personal protective equipment  (PPE) uniform came in to spray disinfectant in the hallway of this building.
