FORMER prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his sister Mrs. Yaowapa Wongsawat, or Jeh Daeng, both contracted coronavirus in Dubai but have now recovered after treatment at a hospital there, a source close to the Shinawatra family told Sanook.com this evening (Oct. 2, 2020).
Aside from Thaksin and Yaowapa, their staff including secretaries and drivers, also came down with this serious illness.
The only one spared from infection in this household was former prime minister Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, who is also Thaksin’s younger sister.
The source said that Thaksin and Yaowapa got infected with Covid-19 several days ago but the news has just been released today.
It was also reported earlier today that US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania had also tested positive for coronavirus with this occurring just 33 days before the US election on November 3.
