Arrest warrant out for gambling den killer

AN ARREST warrant is out for the man who shot dead the killer of a policeman gambling at a Rama 3 den after he failed to surrender while a witness said he believes another man with connections to those in uniform was the real gunman, Naewna newspaper and Sanook.com reported this morning (August 7, 2020).

Four persons died in the shootout at the gambling den earlier this week with one of them being Pol. Maj. Watthaset Samnieangprasert, or Inspector Max,  based at Samae Dam police station, and the person who shot him dead Mr. Thavorn or “Hia Thavorn” Sisod, 51, as well as two women, Ms. Peeraya Numlamul, 44, and Ms. Mao Sala Pao, 29.

Thung Maha Mek police station obtained an arrest warrant from Bangkok South Civil Court for the arrest of Mr. Pipit Srisuwan, 61, who is known in the gambling circle as Boy Ban Krua, on the charges of intentionally killing another person.

However Mr. Santhana Prayoonrat, a former Special Branch Bureau policemen, told police that he got all the information directly from those who were present at the shootout in the gambling den soon after it ended at 9 p.m. and believes it was not Boy who killed Thavorn but a man dressed in black who had contacts with people in uniform.

This man barged in and fired several shots in the den before escaping and contacting police to come in.

Santhana said some people had contacted him to help find a hiding place for Boy but he refused.

He had also brought a photograph of Hia Tee who ran this gambling den to give to the police.
