AN INDIAN man upset after a row with his girlfriend who disappeared and could not be reached all night sprayed mosquito repellant in his mouth and was rushed to a Pattaya hospital in a state of shock this morning (June 11), Amarin TV said.
At 10 a.m. Sawang Boribun Dhammasathan Foundation rescue unit was alerted of a foreigner being in a state of severe shock after spraying mosquito repellant in his mouth at a flat in a five-storey commercial building located in Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province, and a team quickly went there to help.
Upon arrival they found Mr, Devaraj (surname withheld), 33, an Indian national, in shock, dizzy and vomiting severely. The rescue team gave him first aid and took him to Pattaya Hospital.
They also found an almost empty can of mosquito repellant in the flat. There were no signs of struggle there with there only being a suitcase being packed with clothes and various belongings, as if preparing to travel.
Mon, a 14-year-old girl, told them that Devaraj was dating her mother and last night they had a serious argument. After that her mother disappeared and while she tried to contact her, her mobile phone was always switched off.
This morning she decided to knock on their bedroom door to talk to her mother but when she opened the door she found Devaraj lying on the bed writhing and foaming in the mouth.
She then quickly called the rescue team to come and help.
She is uncertain whether Devaraj intentionally hurt himself to spite her mother or not.
