British robbery suspect arrested at Koh Samui

A BRITISH man wanted for robbery with violence in his home country was arrested at Koh Samui today (May 26) but denied all charges during initial questioning, TV Channel 7 said.

Local and Crime Suppression Division police jointly arrested Mr. Kieran, 38, at Bo Phut subdistrict of this tourist island after UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) had asked Thai authorities to track down and extradite the suspect.

Thai police found out that Kieran was staying at a house in Bo Phut area with his Ukrainian girlfriend. After collecting evidence they got a search warrant from Koh Samui Provincial Court to arrest him.

When they arrived, they found that the couple had left the house on a motorcycle so they followed them until they parked at a pier in this same subdistrict then apprehended the suspect.

The police team coordinated with the Office of the Attorney-General and UK’s National Crime Agency in taking the British suspect for legal proceedings.

However, the suspect denied all charges during initial questioning.
