A TRIO OF LEGENDARY LIVERPOOL players today (May 3) visited Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin with a red T-shirt of the English Premier League football club handed to him.
The famous trio, namely Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Michael Owen, visited the prime minister at Government House and handed him the Liverpool shirt No.30 with his first name initial S and full surname Thavisin embroidered at the back.
The trio who put on black T-shirts reading Amazing Thailand and were arranged to join Liverpool fan club activities in Thailand over the weekend chatted with the prime minister saying they would love to have Thai food and visit Phuket.
Meanwhile, Srettha told the visitors that a friendly match between Liverpool and Manchester United or one between former Liverpool players aged 40 – 60 years may be held some time in Thailand where fanbases for both outstanding English Premier League clubs are the largest in a Southeast Asian country.
In 2022, a pre-season Liverpool vs Manchester United game was held with the Red Devils scoring a 4-0 win at Rajamangala stadium in Bangkok.
