BHUMJAITHAI Party leader-cum-Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul this afternoon (Jan. 9) held talks with US Ambassador Robert Godec on Covid-19 and Thai politics after the upcoming general election, INN News said.
The US Ambassador and his delegation met Anutin, who is also Public Health Minister, at the party’s head office at 2 p.m. with the meeting lasting an hour, a post at Bhumjaithai’s website said.
Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, the party’s registrar, said this was an introductory meeting with various issues discussed.
“The main issue raised was politics because a general election is taking place this year and this is expected to bring about changes in the country and lead the country towards democracy,” he said.
The two of them also talked about Bhumjaithai’s policies and how its election campaign is faring with Anutin agreeing with the US Ambassador that democracy is the best form of government.
