ONE CRASH after another led to several vehicles being damaged this morning (Dec. 9) on the Chonburi-Rayong Bypass road with the drivers of three vehicles getting injured, Sanook.com said.
At around 10 a.m. Sawangphon Kusol Rayong Foundation rescue team rushed to the site of the accident on the inbound to Rayong City side of the road and found that the durian-laden truck had overturned with beautiful durians scattered all over the road and the driver slightly injured
With the overturned vehicle obstructing one lane of the traffic, rescuers turned on the siren lights of their rescue vehicle to prevent a repeat accident.
After the durian truck driver had contacted the insurance company and was waiting for the claims official to show up, suddenly two pick-up trucks coming at high speed crashed into the rescue vehicle and the forklift truck that had also come and parked at the accident site.
This led to the rescue vehicle, forklift truck and the two pickup trucks being sent in different directions with around 10 people at the scene quickly dashing away for safety.
However moments later the rescuers came back and called for reinforcements to come and help the injured drivers trapped in the two pickup trucks.
A police team from Nikhom Phattana police station will now be investigating this double accident in detail for legal action.
