THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) late this morning (April 25) said there were 2,438 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours with 11 more patients dying while also listing 19 places in Bangkok where the most cases emerged, Amarin TV said.
The new batch of cases took the cumulative confirmed total to 55,460 with the 11 additional fatalities taking the toll to 140.
Another 547 patients had been discharged from hospital, adding up to 31,113 who have been cured, with 19,274 still undergoing treatment. Of those still under medical care, 507 are in severe condition with 138 using ventilators.
Today’s 2,438 cases were separated into two groups with 2,151 emerging in service systems and 282 found through proactive search in communities. Five overseas arrivals were placed in state quarantine.
CCSA revealed yesterday’s vaccination figures as follows:
First jab: 14,675 recipients adding up to 949,124 people who have got one shot;
Second jab: 14,033 recipients adding up to 175,029 people who have got both shots.
CCSA also gave a breakdown showing 19 risky places in Bangkok where the most Covid cases emerged during April 1-24 as follows:
