Over 200 kgs Ice found near abandoned Chonburi warehouse

AN EAGLE-EYED guard spotted suspicious looking bags hidden in the underbrush near an abandoned warehouse in Chonburi province last night and quickly alerted the police who found over 200 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) neatly packed in six of these bags well hidden at that deserted spot, Khaosod newspaper reported today (September 20, 2020).

Pol. Maj Gen. Thanong Thongpradpetch, head of Police Forensic Science Centre 2, and his team reached the deserted, unlit road leading to the warehouse in Bang Lamung district at around 10.30 p.m. last night to collect evidence and lift fingerprints.

There they found the vacuum storage bags hidden at six spots on both sides of the road as well as some ash and tiles from a fire the drug traffickers had lit.

The over 200 kilogrammes of Ice is worth around 150 million baht.

Meanwhile While Pol. Maj. Gen. Prakarn Prajong, head of Chonburi police, ordered his men to check surveillance camera clips for clues to track down the drug runners as this is the biggest drug haul in this province in many years.
