A CEMENT MIXER TRUCK with faulty brakes zoomed down a Chiang Mai road this morning (Sept. 7) and rear-ended a row vehicles parked at the red light setting off chain-reaction crashes but fortunately there were no injuries, Khaosod newspaper reported.
The nerve-wracking multiple-vehicle collision occurred at Rin Kham intersection in Chang Phueak subdistrict of Chiang Mai’s Mueang district at 10.30 a.m. this morning.
Ten vehicles, including a police car, were waiting for the red light to change at this intersection when the large cement truck careened down the road at high speed and hit the end of the row triggering the chain-reaction crashes.
Pol. Col. Thapanapong Chairungsi, director of the Chiang Mai Traffic Division, said police are going through the surveillance cameras to collect evidence for legal action.
