A NEW LINEUP OF the Pheu Thai-led cabinet has already been finalised with four persons being reshuffled out and six others being ushered in.

Most part of the cabinet reshuffle has been decided upon by de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict on parole Thaksin Shinawatra who has had the final say to it, according to partisan sources.

Pheu Thai wheeler/dealer-cum-Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Commerce Minister Phumtham Wechayachai has performed in hush-hush fashion as Thaksin’s right-hand man to assist in the de facto party boss’s power play.

The Pheu Thai-backed Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has already undersigned the new cabinet lineup which will be shortly forwarded to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn for formal endorsement, according to an official attached to Government House.

The real estate tycoon-turned-prime minister is leaving the finance portfolio which he has been assuming in concurrent fashion to former Stock Exchange of Thailand chair Pichai Chunhavajira.

The four persons who have been reshuffled out of the Srettha cabinet are Public Health Minister Chonlanan Srikaew of the Pheu Thai, Deputy Agriculture & Cooperatives Minister Chaiya Promma of the Pheu Thai, Deputy Agriculture & Cooperatives Minister Anucha Nakhasai of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart and Prime Minister’s Office Minister Puangpetch Chunla-iad of the Pheu Thai.

The six persons being named new members of the Srettha cabinet are Paopoom Rojanasakul of the Pheu Thai as deputy finance minister, Jiraporn Sindhuprai of the Pheu Thai as deputy agriculture & cooperatives minister, Attakorn Sirilatthayakorn of the Palang Pracharath as deputy agriculture & cooperatives minister, Suchart Chomklin of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart as deputy commerce minister, Pichit Chuenbarn of the Pheu Thai as Prime Minister’s Office minister and Pichai as finance minister.

In the new cabinet lineup, Deputy Prime Minister Somsak Thepsuthin is leaving the non-portfolio position of deputy prime minister for the public health portfolio whilst the tourism & sports portfolio currently held by Sudavan Wangsupakitkosol of the Pheu Thai and the culture portfolio currently assumed by Sermsak Pongpanich of the largest coalition partner have been mutually swapped.

All eight cabinet members of the Bhumjaithai, the second largest coalition partner under de facto party boss Newin Chidchob, have remained intact.
