THAILAND has recently been recognised as the Top Global Spa & Wellness Destination at the Hospitality Horizon Spa & Wellness Summit & Awards 2025, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The event was held in Mumbai by Hospitality Horizon, India’s magazine for travel, food, hospitality, and lifestyles, TV Channel 7 said.
The selection was made by renowned spa and wellness experts and industry leaders from across India. The award underscores Thailand’s position as a global leader in holistic wellness tourism.
“Receiving this award reinforces Thailand’s image as a world-class Health & Wellness destination, which will help create added value and elevate Thailand’s tourism products and services,” said Ms. Sasikarn Wattanachan, deputy government spokesperson.
Meanwhile the Thailand Wellness & Healthcare Expo 2025, the largest exhibition of health products and innovations in Thailand, started today (June 26) and ends on Sunday (June 29) at Bitec Exhibition and Convention Centre.
There will be entrepreneurs, businessmen, investors and international experts to build business networks, exchange knowledge and discover the latest trends in the health and wellness industry. It is expected that the event will generate over 120 million baht.
“The government is accelerating the policy to promote Thailand as a world-class Health & Wellness destination, focusing on creating value through comprehensive health treatment and rehabilitation experiences to support health tourism. Entrepreneurs can design various activities to further develop the Wellness Tourism trend to be in line with world-class spa and wellness destinations,” said Ms. Sasikarn.
