THE Thai Meteorological Department’s Earthquake Watch Division said late afternoon today (June 25) that there has been a total of 40 earthquakes since yesterday afternoon in the Nicobar Islands area, India, Amarin TV said.
The quakes began at 3.16 p.m. on June 24, 2025, and continued till 4.12 p.m. June 25, 2025.
At 8.33 a.m. this morning a quake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck Nicobar Islands at a depth of 10 kilometres. The epicentre was approximately 476 kilometres northwest of Mueang district, Phang Nga province
