THE Interior Ministry late afternoon today (Apr. 30) issued an urgent order to all provincial governors for them to immediately send details of appointing advisers after Prachin Buri’s Governor cancelled naming a Chinese man as his adviser amid widespread criticism, Naewna newspaper said.
At 4 p.m. Mr. Chettha Mosikarat, the ministry’s deputy permanent secretary acting as the permanent secretary, signed an urgent letter for all governors to fill in details of their advisers in the provided form.
The governors were told to send the required information back by 4.30 p.m. today.
This followed Prachin Buri Governor Wiraphan De-on having quickly signed a letter cancelling the naming of Mr. Jun Cheng Zhu as his adviser after CSI LA web page published an official letter of this appointment dated Apr. 21, 2025.
The reason given for doing so was for the Chinese appointee to give advice and suggest appropriate guidelines for operating various tasks deemed important and beneficial to the administration and driving the work of Prachin Buri province.
This led to widespread heavy criticism.
