TWO ministers denied today (March 20) that an emerald and diamond necklace worth 26.4 million baht is with either of them after a well-known businesswoman revealed that she had lent actress Ms. Arisara Thongborisut, or Due Arisara, assets worth 62 million baht and now wants them back with latter saying that all the items are there except for this necklace which is now with a minister whose first name initial starts with “P”, Naewna newspaper said this afternoon (March 20).

Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan and Labour Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn both denied that this super luxurious necklace is with either of them.

Other ministers in Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s cabinet whose first name initial starts with “P” are as follows: Deputy Prime Minister/Energy Minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, Deputy Prime Minister/Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira  and Education Minister  Permpoon Chidchob.

 Ms. Wasana “May” Inthasang, or Madam Maynie, said on popular TV programme “Hone Krasea” that she had shared a post on social media demanding the return of assets worth 62 million baht she had lent to Arisara when she asked her for help but as yet had not got them back as agreed after trying to contact her several times to clear things up.

 Some of the items had sentimental value with these including:

   Lotus Arts de Vivre necklace, model: Zambian Emerald & Diamond Necklace, value: 26,440,000 baht;

 The programme host Num Kanchai then asked her where the assets she borrowed now were to which she replied that all the items were still there except for the Lotus emerald necklace which had passed through a senior person to a minister but she was trying to get it back.

Arisara added that she had no intention of fleeing and while she is currently in Taiwan when she returns to Thailand she would report to the Crime Suppression Division.
