A THAI Airways International flight bound for Singapore from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport was forced to return to the Thai capital due to a technical fault last night, Amarin TV said this morning (Feb. 17).
THAI flight TG401 carrying 270 passengers was about to land at Singapore’s Changi Airport when it suddenly circled and turned back, landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport at around 10 p.m. last night amid confusion because the airline had not explained what had happened.
Airline officials only told the passengers to wait at HoldRoom C and board another flight at 5 a.m. this morning.
A little later today a Facebook user by the name “Khon Khao Ton Prakan” posted the following message:
“Thai Airways Flight TG401 to Singapore landed at Bay117 at 9:40 p.m., and all 270 passengers were taken to wait in HoldRoom C4. Initial reports indicate a technical malfunction and broken glass.”
