UNOFFICIAL result of a local election held today (July 26) in northeastern Roi Et province shows that Pheu Thai’s candidate is way ahead of his two independent rivals, Amarin TV said.
The election for Nayok Or Bor Jor or head of the Roi Et provincial administration was held after Pheu Thai candidate Mr. Seksit Vainiyompong resigned before his term ended then joined today’s race.
The other two candidates contesting this election are Mr. Nirun Namuangrak, former Roi Et MP for several terms, and Mr. Boonchit Uthaspatana.
The unofficial vote count as reported by Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organisation at 7.37 p.m., are as follows:
– Seksit (incumbent), 317,797 votes;
– Nirun, 72,594 votes;
– Boonchit, 9,689 votes.
