Srettha quietly visits Thaksin at home

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

PRIME MINISTER SRETTHA Thavisin quietly visited de facto Pheu Thai boss-cum-convict on parole Thaksin Shinawatra at the latter’s home today (Feb. 24).

Srettha talked with Thaksin over lunch at Chan Song Lah residence where the host was seen wearing soft splints around his neck and right arm. They held a tete-a-tete chitchat for about two hours.

Moments later, the prime minister told reporters that they have not discussed politics or any government affairs during their private talk.

The Pheu Thai-backed prime minister declined to either confirm or deny he would probably name his deposed predecessor an advisory role in government in foreseeable future.

Srettha has become the second guest of the politically powerful de facto party boss who was granted parole last Sunday.

The first one was former Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen who met with Thaksin on Wednesday and extended an accepted invitation for Pheu Thai leader Paetongtarn Shinawatra, daughter of the de facto party boss-cum-convict on parole, to visit Phnom Penh next month.
