THE THREE-DAY advance voting at the Thai embassy in Washington DC kicked off on Friday (Apr. 28) and will end today (Apr. 30) with 3,929 Thais having registered to either cast their ballot at the embassy or do so by mail, TV Channel 7 said.
Of this total 403 Thai are voting on-site while 3,526 have opted for postal voting.
The atmosphere at the Thai embassy in Washington DC was lively with voters not only coming to cast their ballots from the metropolitan area but travelling there from other states such as North Carolina, Delaware and Oregon.
Those who registered for postal voting were urged to follow the procedures and send completed ballots back to the embassy no later than Tuesday May 2, 2023.
The embassy has already sent 600 ballots back to Thailand and will continue doing so until the deadline.
