BANGKOK’S Covid count dropped to 1,633 today (Sept. 24) while the national tally remained steady at 12,697 cases but there were altogether 132 deaths, Siam Rath newspaper said.
The 10 Bangkok districts that logged the most infections today are as follows:
– Bangna, 111 cases;
– Sai Mai, 107 cases;
– Bang Sue, 77 cases;
– Chatuchak, 65 cases;
– Lat Krabang, 64 cases;
– Prawet, 59 cases;
– Bang Khen, 53 cases;
– Ratchathewi, 53 cases
– Din Daeng and Minburi, 50 cases each.
Bangkok’s Covid-19 comprehensive response team (CCRT) also updated on its work during July 15 to September 23 as follows:
– Screened 4,931 communities;
– 254,677 people received services;
– 144,004 people in the 608 group (age 60+ / suffering from any of the seven chronic diseases / pregnant women) were vaccinated;
– 90,095 people underwent Covid antigen test with the result being as follows:
– 7,168 found to be infected;
– 467 taken to the hospital;
– 363 taken to waiting centres;
– 6,338 quarantined at home;
– 82,927 people were cleared of infection.
Of 12,697 cases across the country today 12,527 were among the general public and 170 in prisons and detentions centres taking the cumulative confirmed total since April 1 to 1,508,447.
Another 13,540 patients were discharged from hospital while today’s 132 fatalities raised the death toll from April 1 to 15,922.
