THE daily total of coronavirus cases rose a little to 201 this morning (Feb. 11), up from 157 yesterday, with 185 being domestic infections while 16 overseas travellers were quarantined taking the overall cumulative tally to 24,104 cases, Siam Rath newspaper said.
There were no additional deaths with the toll remaining at 80. Another 885 patients have recovered, adding up to 19,799 people who have been cured, with 4,225 still undergoing treatment.
Of the 185 domestic cases today 96 emerged through surveillance and service systems with 16 cases showing up in Bangkok, 56 in Samut Sakhon province, 23 in Tak and one in Nonthaburi.
Another 89 cases were found through proactive search in communities consisting of one case in Bangkok, 14 in Tak province, one in Rayong and 73 in Samut Sakhon.
Of the 16 newly quarantined overseas travellers, 12 were Thai nationals and one each Pakistani, Sudanese, Russian and British. Seven of them came from the US, three from Sweden and one each from Pakistan, Sudan, Japan, Russia, Turkey and the UK.
