A FIERCE quarrel between a young couple at a condominium off Phahonyothin road at 1 a.m. this morning led to the boyfriend being stabbed to death with a fruit knife and dying in a pool of blood in the corridor in front of the unit, Sanook.com reported today (June 8, 2020).
Police arrested Ms Runghthiwa, 33, who was waiting for them in the condo on the fourth floor of the eight-storey building in soi 67 off this road after killing her boyfriend Mr Khathawut, 32, who worked as a fitness trainer and also ran a motorcycle spare part business.
She told police that the problem between the two of them started on Sunday morning when her boyfriend questioned her about a missing one-baht weight gold chain. She helped search for it but without success.
That evening Kathawut went out to drink with his friends and came back at 10 p.m. when he again asked her about the missing gold chain but they did not quarrel about it and both went to sleep.
At 1 a.m. this morning her ex-boyfriend called her out of concern after reading a Facebook post she written about the problems she was currently facing.
Just as she was talking to him, Kathawut woke up and a fierce quarrel broke out between them with this leading to him trying to strangle her.
She said she was able to fight back even though he was much stronger and ran to the kitchen and picked this three- to four-inch fruit knife and stabbed him, after which he ran out of the condo and fainted in the corridor.
She added that she did call his relatives to take him to the hospital but he died in a pool of blood in front of the unit.
