JUSTICE MINISTER Lt. Gen. Ruttapol Naowarat said today (Sept. 2) at Government House that the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) has summoned Mr. Somchart Techathaworncharoen, a People’s Party Phuket MP, for questioning in a Phuket real estate nominee case next Monday (Sept. 7), Amarin TV and Naewna newspaper said.
DSI’s investigation indicates that Somchart was a director and shareholder of a private company holding real estate and condominiums in Phuket jointly with foreigners.
DSI’s first summons did not reach the MP with the postal service saying that they could not deliver it. However the second summons has reached him, and he is now due to meet DSI investigators next Monday.
Even so, Ruttapol mentioned that it is uncertain whether he will show up for the meeting that day as DSI has only verified that the summons has been delivered.
