PRIME MINISTER Anutin Charnvirakul has been ultimately advised against literally co-piloting a military combat aircraft for safety reasons during his official visit to Wing 1 air force base in Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) scheduled shortly, according to an air force source.
The prime minister will be strongly suggested by air marshals to literally not fly an F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jet whilst visiting Wing 1 air force base on the upcoming Friday primarily for safety reasons since he has not undergone an altitude and ejection training basically required of pilots of any military aircraft.
Anutin who has reportedly earned a 15-year experience of piloting light turboprop private aircraft, three of which he privately owns, had earlier planned to be the co-pilot of the two-seater F-16 jet whilst a dozen of the same type of the ageing, US-made combat aircraft will be replaced by Swedish-made Gripen E/F fighter jets and deployed at Thailand’s largest air force base.
Anutin who reportedly owns Embraer Legacy 600, Daher Socata TBM930 and Cirrus SR22T light turboprop aircraft has occasionally piloted his private planes to voluntarily transport human organs such as hearts for transplants between hospitals throughout the country.
