TROUBLE flared up at Thai-Cambodian border in Trat province today (Feb. 7) after Thai troops placed containers supplied by a social media influencer with this enraging Cambodians and Chinese in the area with one of the latter threatening to shoot the influencer, PPTVHD36 said this evening.
The “Army Military Force” Facebook page posted a video of a Chinese man, identified as Mr. Heng Hua-feng, expressing extreme displeasure, shouting and destroying signs attached to some of the 50 containers Thai soldiers placed at the border along Ban Tha Sen, Chamrak subdistrict, Mueang Trat district, to block the strategic route and prevent encroachment.
He is a member of a Chinese investment group with influence in this Cambodian zone.
Later the social media influencer, Mr. Guntouch Pongpaiboonwet, or Gun Jompalang, posted this message on his Facebook page:
“Black Chinese (meaning those running scam centres) who invaded the border are unhappy that I erected a fence in Trat. They challenged me to take off my body armour and walk beyond the fence for a one-on-one fight at the border. To protect the honour of the Thai people, I accepted the challenge, took off my armour, and walked across the fence.
“The Chinese men ran away, refusing to participate. Before this, they tried to dismantle the fence and attack soldiers, but the soldiers didn’t harm the civilians. Now that I’ve fought back, they’re too scared. They said to wait three days, and they’ll fly to Thailand to shoot me.
“They were right there on the Cambodian border, they didn’t dare come for three seconds. Born in the dragon kingdom, yet acting like parasites.”
