Son and daughter of scam boss close to Hun Sen wanted

 

ARREST warrants have been issued for the son and daughter of a Cambodian national who is close to the neighbouring country’s leader Hun Sen and is the boss of a transnational call centre network, Naewna newspaper said today (July 15).

Technology Crime Suppression Police, or Cyber Police, are also searching seven more targeted locations in Bangkok and other provinces linked to Mr. Kok An, after a sweep of 19 locations on July 8 led to the seizure of millions of baht of assets.

Upon obtaining additional evidence Cyber Police asked the Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for several more suspects of this transnational crime organisation including Ms. Juri and Mr. Kittisak, Kok An’s son and daughter,

Moreover, the Interior Ministry has also set up an investigation committee after Cyber Police found irregularities in the issuance of Thai ID cards to all three of them with Kok An also being the owner of Crown Casino Resort network in Poipet, just across the border from Aranyaprathet town.

Pol. Gen. Thatchai Pitaneelabut, director of Cyber Police, and his team will be meeting US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials this afternoon to coordinate the arrest of other suspects in the large call centre gang.
