A LATEST LAWSUIT was filed today (Sep. 9) in pursuit of a simultaneous dissolution of six government parties on grounds of having been unlawfully, evidently masterminded and directed by de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra.
The six parties all of which have joined the current Pheu Thai-led coalition government include the Bhumjaithai under de facto party boss Newin Chidchob, the Palang Pracharath led by Prawit Wongsuwan, the Ruam Thai Sang Chart under de facto party boss/former coup leader-turned-prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Chart Thai Pattana led by Varawut Silpa-archa, the Prachachart led by Justice Minister Thavi Sodsong and the Pheu Thai led by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, daughter of the billionaire power player Thaksin.
The case filed today by political activist Noparut Worachitwuthikul to the Election Commission is among several others earlier lodged in pursuit of a verdict from the Constitutional Court to dissolve the six coalition partners for having been allegedly, evidently masterminded, influenced and directed in unconstitutional, illegal fashion by the de facto Pheu Thai boss on Aug 14.
Due to his having been indicted and sentenced by court on previous power abuse, misconduct lawsuits, Thaksin is prohibited by law from engaging in political affairs but he managed to host an urgent meeting of the six parties’ leaders and other prominent partisan figures at his Chan Song Lah residence hours after former prime minister Srettha Thavisin had been deposed of power by the Constitutional Court on grounds of severely violating the wide-ranging code of political ethics and constitution.
Given the fact that Thaksin is the father of the Pheu Thai leader who was not in Thailand that day, the billionaire power player was accused of having evidently directed and dominated the meeting of those leading politicians as if he were their mastermind in spite of the law which prohibits him from doing so in the first place.
If those coalition partners were finally judged guilty as charged and dissolved by court, all members of their respective parties’ executive boards including the party leaders such as Paetongtarn would be consequently deposed and banned from assuming political positions at any levels for a number of years.
Attending last month’s hush-hush session at Thaksin’s house over the naming of Pheu Thai MP Chaikasem Nitisiri for prime minister and retention of the Pheu Thai-led coalition government were Bhumjaithai leader/Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, former Palang Pracharath secretary-general Thammanat Prompao, Ruam Thai Sang Chart secretary-general/Industry Minister Eknath Prompan, Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Defence Minister/Thaksin’s right-hand man Phumtham Wechayachai, Varawut and Thavi, among others.
