Disgruntled construction worker kills boss in Chiang Mai

A CONSTRUCTION worker who was annoyed at his boss for frequently telling him to redo his work at a house they were renovating in the middle of Chiang Mai city used his shovel to smash him to death today (July 27), Amarin TV said.

Mae Ping police said a surveillance camera near this house filmed Mr. Thanathip Payachai, 26, using his shovel to repeatedly hit his boss Mr. Supharik Yanaso, 42, until he fell to the ground near the gate.

Before the assault began two other construction workers had stepped in to resolve the row between their boss and their colleague but upon seeing that the latter had calmed down moved away.

However moments later Thanathip picked up the shovel and repeatedly hit their boss, pulling his head back as if to decapitate him.

His two colleagues did not at this point dare to step in. However after their boss had died Thanathip sat down and waited for police to arrive.
