A DISABLED 78-year-old woman was arrested at northeastern Roi Et city on charges of selling methamphetamine pills to teenagers in the area, TV Channel 7 and Matichon newspaper said this afternoon (Feb. 14).
Roi Et Narcotics Prevention and Suppression Operations Centre officials had found out that Mrs. Chotima Jeremiah, who is disabled and bedridden, has been regularly selling drugs to teenagers from her house on Phadung Phanit road.
They then joined forces with a police and military team to search her house after getting a warrant to do so with Chotima being startled and started trembling and acting in a frantic manner when they arrived.
A little later she admitted to have hidden some meth pills in the sarong she was wearing and handed over three bags containing the drug which when counted totalled 151 pills.
She said she sold the drug to teenagers to earn some money to support herself.
She was taken to Roi Et police station and charged with possessing a category one drug for sale and spreading it among other people.
