PRIME MINISTER Srettha Thavisin has caught the flu but will continue working as usual tomorrow (Jan. 31) with there being an appointment for a dinner meeting with military leaders in the evening, TV Channel 7 said today.
Srettha met reporters before attending a meeting with Phue Thai MPs at the party’s headquarters and it was observed that he had a weary look and his voice hoarse.
Upon being questioned, he said he has been sick for almost two weeks now and later at 4.40 p.m. upon returning told them that the result of a blood test showed he was suffering from influenza type A.
He added that the symptoms started after he returned from the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2024 at Davos, Switzerland, on Jan. 19th. However, he had to go to Chiang Mai and then Ranong for a roving cabinet meeting so did not get to rest fully.
